Classical Ballet, Pointe, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz, Character & National, in addition to Progressing Ballet Technique.

Dianne has over 35 years teaching experience in Cambridge and has many significant credentials including the following:

  • Advanced Certificate in Ballet from both the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing
  • Associate Member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in their Modern Theatre Dance Branch
  • Associate Member of the Royal Academy of Dance
  • Teaching Certificate of the Royal Academy of Dance
  • Registered Teacher of the RAD
  • Elementary Certificate with Honours from the Benesh Institute of Choreology of London, UK.

Official Mentor for the CTBS Diploma program of the Royal Academy of Dancing, London, UK.

Member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science.

Member of the International Dance Council – DCI – UNESCO (founders of International Dance Day)

Dianne Long has been a dancer, teacher and choreographer for the past 39 years. Formally trained within the systems of both the RAD and the ISTD, she has also had training in Limon, Graham and other dance forms from a wide variety of Dancers and Educators. She has been a guest teacher, rehearsal mistress, and choreographer for high schools, musical theatre productions, musical groups, summer schools and workshops.

Her focus has always been on Dance as an Art Form. Her students work as dancers, choreographers and teachers from Vancouver to Halifax.

In 2016 she closed her studio to work as a freelance instructor and choreographer - not to mention concentrating on Dancers with PD! Upon discovering the New York based Dance for PD program in 2013 Dianne has worked with Hamilton City Ballet Dance for Parkinson's and the National Ballet School Dancing with Parkinson's in addition to founding Dancers with PD in Cambridge in 2014 and assisting Sarah Jane Burton with the launch of the Park'N Dance program in Guelph in 2016. In 2017 she attended the RAD En Avant Dance Conference in Toronto.
